Umbria in Italy

Umbria lies in the shadow of its more illustrious neighbor, Tuscany. The many Umbrian hills and mountains cast long dark shadows over river valleys which are already darkened by lush chestnut groves and elm forests. The beauty of this land, the endless green of its holm-oak groves, its millenary history, its flavours contribute to increase tourism in the region.
Visiting places in Umbria one can see clearly the presence of man starting from the Etruscans, or the Umbrians, to the Romans and their whealthy villas, the Middle Age with its many fortresses and castles, the Renaissance and its fabulous paintings and the elegance and eurhythmy of its courtyards.
For those who want to visit the region we suggest Umbria holiday rentals.
